About Borjomi: Borjomi is a city in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia. Its population according to the 2009 census was 13,600 people. Borjomi is one of the important cities in Georgia, known for its "hot springs," located 150 kilometers west of the capital Tbilisi in a tourist region, near the town of Bakuriani and a ski resort. Borjomi is one of the natural and pristine regions of Georgia. Its mineral spring water is exported to various countries, including the United States and European Union nations, and it has always been a destination for tourists on Georgia tours. The city was developed as a spa town in the 19th century by Tsar Nicholas. Even during the Soviet era, this region was famous for its mineral waters, a reputation that spans about 200 years, and many mineral waters are sourced from there. Walking around the hills of this region is a delightful pastime.

One of the sights of this region is the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. This park is a protected area in the Lesser Caucasus region southwest of Tbilisi and is one of the largest national parks in Europe. The park was established in 1995 and officially opened in 2001. Western Georgia has a humid climate, while eastern Georgia is dry or moderately humid. The currency of this country is the Lari. In 2007, one US dollar equaled 1.7 Lari. Tourism is one of the important service sectors in Georgia, playing a significant role in the country's economy. This important sector was quite prosperous during the pre-independence period. In 2003, the number of tourists entering Georgia was reported as 368,312. Revenue from this sector in 2005 was $242 million. Georgia is a tourist country with many tourist-friendly cities, including Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Batumi, Sighnaghi, Borjomi, Tbilisi, Poti, Sukhumi, Rustavi, and the birthplace of world wine, Telavi (in the Kakheti region). Georgia is one of the world's tourism hubs, with the number of tourists increasing every year, such that in 2015 approximately 15 million tourists entered Georgia. Tourists are drawn to Georgia for its astonishing nature and extraordinary beauty.
